Omega has launched six new Seamaster Diver 300M references on Global James Bond Day, marking the first time the luxury watchmaker has released official models dedicated to the criminal organization Spectre alongside traditional hero pieces. The standard steel editions retail for EUR 8,500, CHF 6,700, or USD 8,600.
For over three decades, Swiss watchmaker Omega has maintained a steadfast cinematic partnership with the James Bond franchise, anchoring its timepieces strictly to the wrist of 007 and his allies since 1995. That thirty-year tradition of cinematic alignment takes a sharp turn on October 5. Timed to Global James Bond Day—which marks the anniversary of the 1962 world premiere of Dr. No—the brand has pulled back the curtain on an extensive collection of six new Seamaster watches. Wearing the two watches felt like coming home, reminding observers of past encounters with standard dateless versions.
While the broader cinematic future remains in a holding pattern of production and rights wrangling following the conclusion of Daniel Craig’s tenure in 2021’s No Time To Die, commercial watch collections continue to march forward. Omega is leveraging its enduring spy connection through a novel narrative split, releasing dedicated tributes to both the secret agent and his shadowy nemesis organisation that traces back through literary history to Ian Fleming’s 1961 novel Thunderball

Stainless Steel Editions for Heroes and Villains
The backbone of the new release consists of two standalone stainless-steel references that share identical internal architecture while offering starkly contrasting aesthetics. Both standard editions measure 42mm in diameter, 14.23mm thick, and 50mm lug-to-lug, carrying a screw-down crown, 300 meters of water resistance. Both variants are paired with a brushed stainless steel mesh bracelet and feature bezel inserts with laser-ablated surfaces that convey the diving scale in positive relief.
Beneath the sapphire crystal display caseback beats the in-house automatic Co-Axial METAS Master Chronometer calibre 8806. The movement offers a power reserve of 55 hours backed by a five-year warranty.
- James Bond Edition (Ref. 210.30.42.20.03.004): Features a blue dial with a laser-engraved wave pattern, specifically paying tribute to the timepiece worn in
GoldenEye
. The bezel is made of polished ceramic. A coat of arms is embedded within the double baton hour markers at the 12 o’clock position. The winding rotor incorporates a rhodium-plated gun-barrel decoration. - Spectre Edition (Ref. 210.30.42.20.01.023): Features a black ceramic bezel insert paired with a blackened, grained dial that foregoes the engraved wave pattern. The caseback reveals a blackened winding rotor shaped like the criminal organization’s octopus logo.
Both stainless-steel models are available now as non-limited editions from October 5th at Omega boutiques and online. Each carries a retail price of EUR 8,500 including taxes, CHF 6,700, or USD 8,600 excluding sales tax.
Platinum-Gold Limited Edition Box Sets
Beyond the standalone steel watches, Omega has introduced two high-end limited-edition presentation sets—one dedicated to Bond and another to Spectre. Each set is capped at exactly 77 boxes worldwide and pairs an individually numbered edition of the stainless-steel watch with a companion timepiece forged from platinum-gold.

These ultra-exclusive dual-watch sets cannot be purchased individually and retail at €88,500 (incl. VAT) / US$89,800 (excl. sales tax) / CHF 70,000 (excl. VAT). Each platinum-gold companion watch is paired with a leather strap—blue for Bond and black for Spectre—and features a limited-edition number plate on the side of the case at 9 o’clock.
The platinum-gold models elevate the dial execution using 18K white gold paired with PVD finishes. The Bond version utilizes a blue dial with a swirling gun barrel pattern alongside a blue ceramic bezel insert, while the Spectre version features a dark gray dial with a sprawling tentacle design and a black ceramic bezel insert. Both platinum-gold rotors incorporate precious metals, with the Bond variant utilizing blue PVD combined with 18K Moonshine gold accents, while the Spectre edition features a blackened rotor topped with an octopus in 18K Moonshine gold.

- An additional NATO strap with customized strap keepers (engraved with 007 for the Bond set and the Spectre emblem for the villain set)
- A strap-changing tool
- Cufflinks
- A cord bracelet
- A loupe
- A leather travel pouch and card holder
- Papers and a certificate of authenticity
Omega Releases Villain Timepieces During Franchise Transition
Leading up to the reveal, digital teasers on the manufacturer’s website featured brand logos briefly shifting to alternate criminal insignias every few seconds. The introduction of villain-centric timepieces arrives during an unusual transitional period for the overarching cinematic property, serving to remind enthusiasts of the greatness of the James Bond world while the franchise determines its next cinematic destination.
Historically, Omega’s commemorative releases have leaned heavily into milestone anniversaries, such as the 50th-anniversary model with a red number 50 on the bezel in 2012, the 1969 film tribute limited to 7,007 pieces in 2019, and the 60th-anniversary edition in 2022. Earlier in the year, the brand also released a chronograph tied to a video game project developed by the studio behind the Hitman franchise. By shifting focus toward the opposing faction for the first time, the watchmaker expands its narrative reach beyond hero worship.
