Omicron variant confirmed in India. The virus was confirmed in two people from Karnataka. According to the Union Health Ministry, the suspects were from South Africa. The disease affects people aged 66 and 46, and those who come in contact with both are under observation. Samples of those who come in contact will be genetically sequenced.
