There are three days left for Beitar Jerusalem to go through the budget control authority in order not to be relegated to the national league and the club is working through all possible channels to promote the transfer of the team to the hands of Barak Abramov.
The goal is to reach the deadline on Wednesday with a signed agreement on the transfer of the club to Abramov and with a budget and sums of money for guarantees that will be presented to the control, even if the budget will not be officially passed due to the tight schedule. “On Wednesday we must show that Bitar has been sold and there is a new owner, from there everything will be fine because we will be able to submit a full budget within a day or two,” they say in Jerusalem.
The person who is currently handling the affairs of the sale of the club is Moshe Hogg and by his side the faithful attorney Yitzhak Junger. Despite the difficulties surrounding the guarantee that Abramov is demanding against a loan of 10 million NIS, those around Hogg say that he exudes confidence that the team will be sold by Wednesday. In conversations with his associates he says Celebrating: “On Wednesday there will be a new owner for Betar.”
Beit and Gan pray that it will indeed be so and that Bitar will start a new journey with a new owner. The professional team will demand to strengthen with two or three foreign players and another Israeli player, all subject to Abramov’s approval, if and when.
