The members of the boy band One Direction have expressed their horror at the death of Liam Payne. The 31-year-old recently died after falling from a hotel room in Argentina‘s capital Buenos Aires.
“We are completely devastated by Liam’s death,” Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan said in a joint statement. The four pop stars wrote in a message on Instagram that they now need time to process “the loss of our brother”. They added: “We will miss him very much. We love you, Liam.” Payne traveled to Buenos Aires for a concert in Horan. “Unfortunately, I didn’t know when we said goodbye and hugged that it would be goodbye forever,” Horan wrote on Instagram.
Payne’s styles will be missed “forever.”
In an emotional tribute on his own Instagram account, Styles, who has now achieved global success as a solo artist, described his late bandmate Liam Payne as “warm, supportive and incredibly loving”. “Liam’s death is very hard on me,” Styles said. “His greatest joy was making others happy, and it was an honor to be by his side when he did that.”
Liam “wore his heart on his sleeve” and had an “infectious” energy, the singer continued. He will miss Payne “forever.”
After Payne’s death, singer Robbie Williams asked for more sympathy from friends and family, but also from strangers. You don’t know what’s going on in other people’s minds, the British pop star wrote on Instagram. “I still had my demons at 31,” stressed the former Take That singer, referring to Payne’s age. Williams also rose to international fame as a member of a boy band when he was a teenager. “However, as individuals, we have the power to change ourselves. We can be kinder. We can be more compassionate,” Williams wrote.
“be kind”
British singer Oritsé Williams, who rose to fame with boy band JLS in the late 2000s, has asked the BBC for more due diligence from the music industry. You need thick skin when you’re in the moment. He had problems himself. “And I think it’s the same with Liam. He had a great family, of course, but you’re alone out there in this crazy world full of vultures.”
Pop star Ed Sheeran asked his fans in an Instagram post: “Be kind.” He has fond memories of Payne, whose death is heartbreaking.
The band One Direction has been very successful internationally for several years since it was formed on the talent show “The X-Factor” in 2010. In 2016 they suspended the collaboration. It continues to this day as it was originally intended to be a one-year hiatus.
