One in five VSE-SME managers receive a net monthly remuneration lower than a minimum wage, or less than 1,400 euros, according to a study published this Thursday by the Confederation of SMEs (CPME) which wants to undermine the image of the highly paid boss . According to this survey, the remuneration of other entrepreneurs is between 1,400 and 2,600 euros monthly for 31% of respondents, between 2,600 and 4,000 euros for 25% of them and greater than 4,000 euros for those who remain (25%).

“The result is clear: no, business leaders are not “filling their pockets”! », Commented the CPME in a press release. “It is sometimes good to remember the difficulties faced by business leaders on whose backs the rules and constraints accumulate,” underlined the employers’ organization, which has 243,000 members employing 4 million employees. “A VSE/SME is not a large scale company,” she insisted.
