One person died in a road accident near Chidambaram, Cuddalore district.
Muthukumaran’s son Kannan (50), who had passed away from Nandimangalam, was walking on the side of the road on Wednesday evening near Poiya Pillai booth on the side road near Chidambaram. At that time, Sonda Khanakumar (20) of Chidambaram Kothanar town and Sonda Sivasakthi (17) of Veeracholagan village, who were riding a bike at high speed on that road, collided with Kanan, and he died on the spot.
Kanakumar and Sivashakti were slightly injured. Chidambaram taluka police have registered a case and are investigating.
