VivaTechnology or VivaTech is an annual event dedicated to technological innovation and start-ups created in 2016. The seventh edition of the largest European tech fair is being held from June 14 to 17 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The first three days are aimed exclusively at start-ups, investors, executives, students and academics. The event is open to the general public on the fourth day.

The entry ticket is 620 € and the stands are snapped up at sometimes more than 100,000 €.

Artificial intelligence in the spotlight

This year, Viva Technology will give pride of place to artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality and connected objects. Among the major themes addressed are the use of drones, robots, health technologies and sustainable mobility.

Ahead of the Paris Olympic Games in the summer of 2024, the show will highlight the technological innovations that accompany the world of sport. The Rossignol brand will demonstrate its smart skis, the Stellantis group will present the Formula E of its DS, while Manta5 will show its bike capable of moving at sea.

We will also discover spectacular or fun innovations, such as a ski mask with augmented reality, an exoskeleton for caregivers, a start-up that wakes up drowsy drivers, a Van Gogh animated by artificial intelligence, robots on wheels , hydrogen-powered commercial aircraft, etc.

Personalities, from Elon Musk to Emmanuel Macron

The show welcomes more than 2,200 exhibitors, conferences of major international bosses, as well as 10,000 company representatives. Among the big names in global tech will be present Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX and Twitter, Yann LeCun, chief scientist of the artificial intelligence department of Meta. Bernard Arnaud, head of LVMH, Dan Schulman, CEO of Paypal are also expected.

On the political side, Emmanuel Macron will present a plan on Wednesday evening to support French AI and more generally start-ups in the « French tech »out of funding after two prosperous years.

Speakers and investors

More than 400 speakers from all over the world on the six stages of the show but also in multiple round tables. They will analyze the impact of digital and technologies on various sectors of activity (such as transport, health, media or travel).

VivaTech offers a unique platform for innovators, entrepreneurs and investors. Some 10,000 start-ups and around fifty large companies will present their projects. Nearly a thousand investors will be present and around 100,000 people will visit the event for the public day on Saturday.
