Opening of Aden and Sana’a Square Bridges Next Month »

The Ministry of Planning announced today, Tuesday, that the completion rate of the Aden and Sanaa Squares projects in Baghdad has risen to 90%, confirming that they will be opened next September.

The ministry stated in a statement received by the (INA), that “the ministry’s teams have intensified their field follow-up of traffic congestion relief projects in the capital, Baghdad, and we announce the imminent completion of the Aden and Sanaa Squares development project in central Baghdad by the end of next September, after the completion rate reached more than 90%.”
She added, “The specialized teams of the Ministry visited the aforementioned project with the rehabilitation of the roads that connect to Aden and Sana’a squares. The project is considered one of the important and vital projects, and aims to reduce the traffic congestion at the intersections of Aden and Sana’a squares, facilitate the flow of traffic, and reduce accidents.”
He added, “The project consists of two bridges, each of which is (525) meters long and (11-14) meters wide. The lengths of the approaches to the two bridges are (1300) meters, and it consists of (47) spaces, ranging in length from (17-35) meters. The first bridge (Aden Square) connects the Baghdad-Mosul Road and Al-Nuwab Street to Al-Rabi’ Street and (14) Tammuz (Al-Muthanna Airport Road), while the second bridge (Sana’a Square) connects the Baghdad-Mosul Road to Al-Seha Street in Al-Atifiyah area.”
