The Legislature does not act on the basis of a court order. The Legislative Assembly is unique in that it is the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly who is solely responsible for the implementation of the Legislative Area or the Legislative Assembly. Therefore, Speaker Appavu said that the Supreme Court’s verdict yesterday has nothing to do with the Assembly.

According to the order of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu Speaker Appavu Dam today accepted the demand of the farmers for the water required from the North Pachyyar Dam near Kalakadu in Nellai District. Then during the press conference he said:-

The Supreme Court announced that the AIADMK General Committee held on July 11 will go ahead as per its verdict. Following this, Edappadi Palaniswami has also announced the removal of O. Panneerselvam from the AIADMK as interim general secretary as per the decision of the general body. Following this, when asked about the position of OPS while being a member of AIADMK in the Assembly, Speaker Appavu said:
