By economic sector, the manufacture of motor vehicles and parts (+137.1%) had a particularly strong positive influence on the general evolution. On the other hand, the production of electrical material had a significantly negative evolution (-15%).
While capital goods new orders rose 12% mom, intermediate goods orders fell 1.1% and consumer goods 0.8%.
Domestic orders increased 6.2%, foreign orders 6.4%. New orders from outside the euro zone increased by 6.2% and orders from the euro zone by 6.5%.
For its part, according to preliminary data, real billing in the manufacturing sector was 2.7% higher in May than in the previous month.
