In the midst of the World Cup break, Hapoel Haifa continues to try and strengthen the squad: left defender Oren Biton is expected to sign with the Reds from Carmel until the end of the season, with an option for another season. Beaton was released from Jerusalem Beitar at the end of the season, and is currently without a team – Roni Levy’s team is a candidate to receive him.

The 28-year-old Biton is a graduate of Hapoel Haifa’s youth department, and made his debut in the Premier League in May 2014 against Maccabi Petah Tikva. Later, he also played for Hapoel Nazareth Illit of the National League, Kiryat Shmona and Hapoel Beer Sheva (with whom he was a partner in winning the championship in the 2017/18 season and the State Cup in the 2019/20 season). In the summer of 2020, he moved to Beitar Jerusalem, his fifth team in his career, played in Media for two seasons and, as mentioned, left.

In addition, the striker Shaf Sapir from Po’el Ironi Karmiel of League B, was tested this week by the team. He scored nine league goals this season.
