The man,reported to be in his 30s,was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman, in her 40s, was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Witnesses described a heavy law enforcement response, including approximately a dozen Orange county Sheriff’s Office cruisers and a crime scene investigation van. The timing of the shooting, coinciding with thanksgiving celebrations, deeply affected those in the area. “I just came from Thanksgiving, and I see the police tape like this. I just assumed that it had to be something really bad as it wouldn’t be blocked off like this,” said a resident of the complex, identified as Latoya.
Another individual, Armando Garcia, who was visiting someone at the complex, expressed his dismay. “It’s pretty devastating to have that happen today on Thanksgiving,” he stated.
Investigation and Suspect Information
A man in his 40s was taken into custody in connection with the shooting, the sheriff’s office confirmed. Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s name, but stated the incident appears to be domestic in nature. The victims have been identified as a couple, and the suspect was known to them.
