A huge protest against the government broke out in Iran last September over the hijab issue. Iran blamed the protest as a foreign conspiracy and suppressed the protest with an iron fist. It has been reported that 495 people have died in the protest against the government.
Meanwhile, 18 thousand 200 people were arrested for rioting in the protest. The Iranian government is imposing harsh punishments on those arrested by conducting secret trials in court. 2 of them were hanged and executed in a public place.
The actions of the Iranian government were strongly condemned internationally. In that way, Iranian actress Tarane Alidosti posted videos on her Instagram page protesting the Iranian government’s execution of protesters.
In this situation, the police of the country have arrested actress Tarane Alidosti for spreading defamation against the government of Iran without sufficient evidence. Also his Instagram page was disabled.
Actress Tarane Alidosti is the most famous actress of Iran. His film ‘The Salesman’ won an Oscar. It is to be noted that he had already been arrested in 2020 in a case where he had condemned on Twitter the attack on a woman who did not wear hijab by the police.
