Fire at Oslo‘s Islamic Cultural Center Forces Evacuation of 100

A fire broke out at the Islamic Cultural Center Norway (ICC) in Oslo’s Greenland district on Friday, December 5, prompting the evacuation of approximately 100 people. Both the fire service and police were dispatched to the ICC following reports of a fire on the first floor. Currently, the cause of the fire remains unknown.Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the building’s fire alarm system was operational, but the sprinkler system was activated during the incident. The fire was reported shortly after midday and extinguished within the hour, preventing significant structural damage.
