Ouezzane/INDH: 515 projects worth more than 198 million dirhams carried out between 2019 and 2023

These data were presented during a meeting of the Provincial Committee for Human Development (CPDH), held Tuesday at the headquarters of the province of Ouezzane, and chaired by the governor of the province, Mehdi Chalabi, in the presence of the secretary general of the province, the president of the Provincial Council, the president of the commune of Ouezzane and the members of the Committee.

This meeting was marked by the presentation of the progress of INDH projects for the period 2019-2023, the modification of the financial structure of certain projects, and the approval of new projects within the framework of the program III relating to improving the income and economic inclusion of young people.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Chalabi highlighted the importance of the INDH Program III in creating employment opportunities for young people, improving income and supporting young entrepreneurs, by identifying promising social projects, through the promotion of local production chains and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

“The rate of progress of projects falling within the framework of the four INDH programs for the period 2019-2023 is very positive,” he affirmed, specifying that the number of projects programmed during this period is stands at 574, including 515 completed projects, representing a completion rate of 96%.

In this regard, he specified that the remaining projects are currently in their final phases, noting that the overall cost of these projects amounted to approximately 198 MDH, with a commitment rate of 100% and a performance rate by 98%.

The territorial manager, in this sense, urged all stakeholders to intensify their efforts to accelerate the completion of the remaining projects and improve services in the province of Ouezzane, in particular those dedicated to young people, in order to contribute to the improvement of indicators of human development in Morocco.

At the end of this meeting, the governor handed over a transport vehicle for people with disabilities to the Ain dorij center in the rural area of ​​Lamjaara.

In a statement to MAP, the head of the Social Action Division (DAS) in the province, Abdelghani Chraa, indicated that the programs aimed at young people within the framework of the INDH have had a significant impact on the population. target and contributed to strengthening their economic inclusion, improving their income, and developing their entrepreneurial spirit.

He noted that the projects carried out contributed to the promotion of local economic dynamics and the development of certain sectors which arouse the interest of young people in the region and meet their aspirations.

Concerning the delivery of a transport vehicle for people with disabilities to the Ain dorij center, Mr. Chraa affirmed that this noble human and social initiative aims to support the rights of people with disabilities and facilitate their access to services. basic social services and at the center in good conditions.

Among the beneficiaries of the support dedicated to young people is Nawal Rabah, an owner of a hairdressing and beauty salon in Ouezzane, who stressed that the support from the INDH allowed her to improve her living conditions, increase its income and develop its activity, thus attracting a larger clientele.

She also noted that support for young people encourages them to take autonomous economic initiatives, capable of meeting their aspirations and improving their professional career.

Same story with Zakia Senouni, president of a cooperative specializing in carpentry and wood sculpture, who said that the INDH enabled a group of ambitious young people to make their dreams come true, by offering them the opportunity to enter the business world, through the creation of their own projects.
