New Delhi ∙ An out-of-control car rushed near an IndiGo flight parked inside the airport. The incident took place at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. The car that rushed close to the plane was lucky to avoid hitting the front tire of the plane. Video footage of the accident has been released. In the video, the car that rushed to the plane was lying near the front tire.
The plane, which was preparing to go from Delhi to Patna, narrowly escaped the accident. A Swift Dzire car owned by Go First Airline stopped next to the plane. The plane then flew to Patna. The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced an inquiry into the incident.
The preliminary information is that the incident was only a mistake made by the car driver. After the incident, the car driver was subjected to medical examination. It was found that the car driver was not drunk. It is assumed that the driver may have been tired due to overwork which led to such an accident.
The vehicle went out of control and came close to the plane, but the driver was able to control it before it hit the tyre, and the accident was averted. There was no damage to the aircraft. No one was injured in the accident.
