The leader Oyonnax went to inflict a second defeat in a row in Grenoble (28-24), during the 25th day of Pro D2 which allowed Mont-de-Marsan to climb on the podium in third place.
The “Oyomen” still crush the championship, now with a 22-point lead over their evening opponent and 23 over Mont-de-Marsan, winner at home 31-21 of Biarritz (8th).
At the Stade des Alpes, Oyonnax reacted in the second half against an opponent reduced to 14 after the exclusion of Fijian third line Pio Muarua in the 50th minute then to 13 between the 68th and 78th minutes with the exclusion of Luka Goginava. Grenoble still snatched the bonus point at the end of the match.
Agen, beaten at home 26-22 by Montauban, fell back, despite the defensive bonus point, to 4th place, two lengths behind Mont-de-Marsan.
