The provincial coordinator of the Animalist Party PACMA In Ciudad Real, Luis Zamarreño, has filed an urgent complaint this Thursday with the Junta de Castilla La Mancha and has announced another one with the Seprona of the Civil Guard against the Daimiel City Council and the Carlos Aranda Bullfighting Cultural Association for holding a ‘ ‘children’s oxen’ allegedly illegal, scheduled for this Saturday, December 30 in the town.
The complaint is based on non-compliance with the Regulations of the Popular Bullfighting Festivals of Castilla-La Mancha. Specifically, Decree 60/2016, of 10/11/2016, which modifies Decree 38/2013, of July 11, Pacma has pointed out through a press release.

The complaint maintains that the II Bullfighting workshop with children and fans It does not meet the requirements of being traditional in the town of Daimiel, as it has not been carried out continuously in the last thirty years nor has it been declared of regional tourist interest, as required in the aforementioned Regulation.
Furthermore, Pacma argues that the event violates article 22 of the decree, since it encourages the attendance of “the little ones” without establishing an age filter, contravening the prohibition of participation in bullfighting celebrations for minors under 16 years of age.
The complaint also refers to Law 7/2011 of March 21, on Public Entertainment, Recreational Activities and Public Establishments of Castilla-La Mancha, which prohibits activities that may put the integrity of minors at risk.
Immediate suspension of the event
The Animalist Party has requested the authorities to immediately suspend the event and, if it is held, to open a disciplinary file for non-compliance with the aforementioned articles, with the imposition of the corresponding sanctions.
Zamarreño has expressed his hope that the authorities will act diligently to guarantee compliance with the regulations and the protection of the rights of animals and minors.
