N. Isidore Barnandhu (58) is working as an art teacher at St. Lasalle High School in Tuticorin. Every year in his home, on the eve of Christmas, he sets up a hut in a different way to depict the birth of Jesus. In that way, for the 20th year, this year, he has set up a Christmas hut, focusing on the idea that brotherhood should prevail again among the countries of the world after the global unrest caused by the war in Russia and Ukraine, and emphasizing the idea of ’leading the world with compassion’.
There are also paintings emphasizing joint family, caring for the elderly and parents, helping the needy, almsgiving, eye donation, body organ donation etc. Apart from this, Avatar movie characters are also drawn as sketches. Local people, school and college students visit this Christmas cottage with interest.
