International media reported on Sunday that a car in the convoy of the Russian ambassador to Pakistan exploded due to a land mine, confirming that the diplomatic delegation was not injured.

The Russian Embassy in Islamabad said, “A car accompanying the delegation of Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev exploded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, northwestern Pakistan, injuring several police personnel, but not members of the diplomatic corps.”
She added, “One of the escort cars exploded while going from the city of Mingora to the hotel. Several police officers were injured, and representatives of the diplomatic corps were not harmed.”
A delegation of ambassadors from several countries in Pakistan is participating today in the Tourism Development Forum in the Swat Valley in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
