Palestinian Minister of Women’s Affairs: “We thank His Majesty the King” for His support for the Palestinian people
United Nations (New York) – The Palestinian Minister of Women’s Affairs, Amal Hamad, expressed, on Wednesday, her thanks to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, for His support for the Palestinian people.
“We express our thanks to His Majesty the King and to the Moroccan government and people for their support to the Palestinian people,” the Palestinian minister told MAP.
Ms. Hamad was speaking on the sidelines of her participation in a high-level event organized by Morocco as part of the 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women which is being held at the UN headquarters in New York.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God help him, President of the Al Quds Committee, had given His Highest Instructions to deploy a humanitarian operation of food aid, by land, intended for the Palestinian population of Gaza and the City Saint of Al Quds.
In addition to the institutional aid, deployed in particular through the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, His Majesty the King was kind enough to take charge, from the personal funds of the Sovereign, a large part of the aid delivered, including in particular that intended to infants and young children.
Morocco is the first country to transport, via this unique land route, its humanitarian aid which is delivered directly to the beneficiary populations.
