Pamela Franco and Christian Cueva Launch Unexpected Musical Partnership, Business Venture
A surprising new collaboration is unfolding between Peruvian cumbia singer Pamela Franco and footballer Christian Cueva, extending beyond their personal relationship into the realms of music and business. The pair recently captivated audiences with a joint performance and Franco has revealed she will now manage Cueva’s professional affairs.
The unexpected pairing first publicly showcased their synergy on Thursday, December 11th, during a concert in the San Martín de Porres district. Franco shared videos of the event on her Instagram stories, showing Cueva enthusiastically engaging with the crowd, exclaiming, “My people from San Martín (…) Tasty. Ayayay,” while sporting glasses, pajama-style pants, and a black polo shirt.
The performance included renditions of Franco’s popular cumbia hits, such as “Until the end of the world,” “We love each other and what,” and “I will always love you,” with footage circulating on TikTok demonstrating the duo’s playful interaction and shared enjoyment. This initial stage appearance has sparked speculation about the potential for a full-fledged musical duo.
However, their collaboration extends beyond the stage. Franco has confirmed she will be taking on the role of Cueva’s manager. This development comes as Cueva returns to Peruvian football with John Paul II after a stint with the Ecuadorian team Emelec. “Everything will happen according to the circumstances,” Franco stated, hinting at a dynamic schedule balancing both their individual careers and joint ventures.
The pair are already planning a “Cervecero Tour,” inspired by their cover of the song “Armonía 10.” According to Franco, Cueva is actively developing his singing skills and is eager to perform solo numbers during events. “He has improved a lot in singing. He likes it, he really wants to. I am in love. There are a couple of songs that he will sing alone. He is a show-stopper on stage, he is also an entertainer,” she shared.
Amidst the excitement surrounding their professional endeavors, Franco addressed rumors of a pregnancy. Speaking to the media, the 37-year-old artist firmly stated, “No, no. At the moment I’m not (I’m pregnant).” She also clarified that marriage is not currently on their agenda, emphasizing their focus on work and future plans. “What I have are plans to be well. Everything is going to come little by little,” Franco added.
