Panathinaikos AKTOR adjusted its domestic roster by registering center Moustapha Fall in place of Kendrick Nunn for the Stoiximan Greek Basketball League, giving the French big man a pathway to game rhythm during his recovery while Nunn continues individual rehabilitation.
The tactical shift changes the club’s available foreign player list for Greek competitions managed by Zeljko Obradovic. Fall enters the domestic eight-player pool after returning to action during the fourth round of the EuroLeague against Fenerbahce. Nunn, meanwhile, remains sidelined as he recovers from an external meniscus tear in his left knee sustained in mid-August according to reporting from Eurohoops.
Greek League Rules Limit Foreign Player Registration
Greek League rules cap the number of foreign players a club can register. By swapping Fall into the squad for domestic league fixtures, the team leaves the American guard temporarily off the domestic list while retaining his eligibility for EuroLeague play once he completes his rehabilitation.
Fall had previously been sidelined by a left hamstring strain suffered in early September. With his minutes against Fenerbahce marking his return, the coaching staff opted to integrate him into domestic play to accelerate his conditioning ahead of upcoming domestic fixtures.
Nunn Serves Suspension as Fall Joins Lineup
Nunn had initially remained on the domestic roster despite his injury to serve a two-game suspension carried over from an incident involving Tyrique Jones during the previous season’s league finals. The club used its second of three permitted roster changes for the first round of the regular season to bring Fall into the lineup.
From this group, six players are selected for each game’s 12-man matchday roster. Fall is expected to feature when Panathinaikos travels to face Promitheas Patras at the Dimitrios Tofalos Arena.
The 34-year-old French center completed his official club debut during the European fixture and is now available to help his team in domestic games, starting with the away game in Patras. The American guard has not yet participated in group training sessions and continues his individual recovery path away from the team’s main floor work. The team holds one more roster alteration option for the foreign player list before the conclusion of the initial round of the regular season in the Stoiximan Greek Basketball League.
