The fire walking festival was held on Friday at the Palathandayuthapani temple in Malaiyampara, Thiruvella on the occasion of the Panguni Uttara festival.
From Thiruvellarai Kusalava pool, the devotees came in droves to stab the unit, take the milk jug and the kavadi. He then set fire to the Murugan temple in Malaiyampara and fulfilled their request. A large number of devotees performed darshan.
