During the period of the Panhellenic exams, a very large number of candidates, mainly from islands and remote areas of the mainland, travel far from their homes in order to take exams.

For these cases, the state provides an amount for the students to cover part of the travel, accommodation and food expenses, which amounts to 350 euros per beneficiary and only for the 4 courses (not for the special ones).

The coverage of expenses concerns candidates who participate in the Nationwide examinations in the same year in which they graduate from a General or Vocational High School and are examined nationwide in a school unit other than the one to which they submitted an application – statement. In particular, the candidate who participates during the regular examination period, in all the courses declared in the application – declaration of participation in the All-Hellenic course exams, is eligible, while the candidates who will travel to the examination centers in order to be examined in the special courses are exempt from the compensation . In addition, it is specified that a candidate who will participate in the repeat exams does not become a beneficiary.
