The legendary Peruvian striker, Paolo ⁣Guerrero, is‍ reportedly on⁢ the move once again. The all-time top scorer ‍for the Peruvian national team‍ is leaving Universidad César Vallejo and ⁣is in negotiations with ‌several clubs, including Banfield.

Banfield, who recently signed forward Milton Giménez from ⁣Boca Juniors, are ‍keen to‍ land the experienced forward. The 39-year-old Guerrero would be⁣ managed by Uruguayan Gustavo Munúa and would reunite with his former teammate Rubén Oscar Capria, who ⁣is⁤ now at Racing.

Despite interest from his former club Alianza Lima, where he never‌ made his first-team debut, Guerrero is leaning towards a ⁣return to his homeland.

His Time in Peru

After numerous ups and downs, Guerrero finally made his debut⁢ for César Vallejo in March 2024, scoring his first goal in just two minutes. However, his ‌time at the club was marred‌ by a fractured relationship with the management, ⁢leading to his eventual‍ departure.

Despite⁤ his market‍ value of around 100,000 dollars, Guerrero is determined to leave César Vallejo⁤ on good terms.

In any ⁣case, ⁢his time at⁢ Liga de Quito saw him‌ win the ⁢Copa Sudamericana.
