Paralympics: Gold and silver for Austria in the downhill – Paralympics 2022

Johannes Aigner (16) is actually at home in the technical disciplines. “But I noticed that I really enjoy driving fast,” said the visually impaired Lower Austrian in the run-up to the Paralymics. For others, the descent is the supreme discipline, for Aigner and guide Matteo Fleischmann it is the opportunity to “spend days on the slopes”. Such a day on the slopes was the first of the Paralympics in China. On such a day on the slopes, the two immediately set the fastest time in the snow. That means gold. It was Aigner’s first downhill competition ever.
