The incident happened on January 8. boiling coffee was spilled on the child at home. The parents tried to “treat” at home, they applied an ointment of unknown origin to the burns and did not consult a doctor.

During the days of treatment at the National Center for Burns, the child’s condition worsened. Urinary problems were observed, he had difficulty breathing, abdominal distension, pain, free fluid in the abdomen and chest.

On January 13, at 1:30 in the morning, the child was transferred to the intensive care unit of “Surb Astvamayr” Medical Center in critical condition, after being examined and agreed upon by the heads of the surgery and intensive care units.

The child’s condition was assessed as extremely serious, his consciousness was clouded, weakness, pallor, breathing was difficult, frequent, heaviness and anxiety were present. About 500 ml of fluid was found in the abdominal cavity, and 150 and 50 ml of fluid were found in the pleural cavities.

A consultation with a cardiologist was performed, a severe decrease in the contractile function of the heart, 3-4 degree heart failure, septic myocarditis, cardiogenic shock were found.

About 7% were diagnosed with thermal burns on the neck, left upper limb, burn disease, hypoalbuminemia, ascites, bilateral hydrothorax, 2nd-3rd degree respiratory failure, acute renal failure, sepsis.

The next day, on the morning of January 15, the patient’s condition worsened: cardiac arrest, as a result of resuscitation measures, it was not possible to save the child’s life.
