From a handful of euros more to 10 times the normal price… The prices for a room in a private home during the Olympic Games are soaring in Île-de-France, in the wake of those for apartments. And the address doesn’t matter. Very close to Montmartre (18th arrondissement), a couple of Airbnb hosts rent a room in a local home for 80 euros per night during the first week of the Olympic Games (from July 26 to August 1, 2024), that’s 10 euros more than the price displayed for the same period of 2023. A little further east, on the Villette side (19th arrondissement), an Internet user offers a room of the same size no longer at 65 euros but at 600 euros per night at the same dates!
