As of Monday (29), 175 nations with varying ambitions will again negotiate the first draft of a long-awaited text on reducing plastic pollution. The meeting takes place under pressure from NGOs and industry. France, which plans to ban single-use plastics by 2040, wants to make this summit a showcase for its goals. For this purpose, the country is organizing, starting this Saturday (27), a meeting with around forty ministers of the Environment and diplomats.
