January 30, 2026
During a segment on KBS Cool FM’s ‘Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show’ on January 30th, guest Jeon min-ki initiated a discussion about the current trend of sharing “before-and-after” photos from 2016 and 2026. This prompted Park Myung-soo to reflect on his own career trajectory.
“I was doing well at this time,” Park Myung-soo stated, adding with a touch of playful exaggeration, “It was the time when I was very popular with ‘Infinite Challenge.’ At that time, (popularity) was so high that even flying birds fell.” he continued, suggesting that revisiting that era might be amusing, noting, “I couldn’t go on the road. If I go back to that time, it can be funnier.”
Jeon Min-gi agreed, pointing to the success of songs like ‘Great Legacy’ and Park Myung-soo and Dindin’s ‘Dokdori’ from ‘Infinite Challenge’ in 2016. He also highlighted the cultural touchstones of the year, mentioning the prevalence of yellow dust filters and the popularity of songs by GFriend (‘Running Through Time’) and TWICE (‘Cheer Up’) on talent shows. Dramas like ‘Signal’, ‘Goblin’, ‘Reply 1988’, and ‘Descendants of the Sun’ also captivated audiences.
looking ahead, Park Myung-soo voiced concerns about the future of conventional broadcasting.”Terrestrial broadcasting has collapsed in 10 years. What will happen in the next 10 years?” he wondered. He also observed the rapid pace of technological advancement, noting, “There were no self-driving cars 10 years ago. There will be more than twice the change compared to now.” He urged listeners to “Prepare firmly for the future.”
Park Myung-soo began his career as a comedian in 1993, following his debut in the 4th MBC open recruitment. He has since appeared in numerous popular programs, including ‘Infinite Challenge’, ‘Happy Together’, ‘Three Wheels’, ‘My Little Television’, ‘I’ll Go to School’, ‘The Salty Tour’, and ‘The Taste of Wife.’
