Today, Tuesday, the Parliamentary Culture Committee announced a movement to legislate the right to access to information law.

The Director of the Parliamentary Development Institute, Saad Fayyad, said during a workshop held with the Parliamentary Culture Committee, attended by the correspondent of the (INA): “The Parliamentary Development Institute, in cooperation with the Parliamentary Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Media Committee, held a workshop on the importance of legislating the right to access law.” “Information.”
He continued, “Today’s workshop was organized to create a suitable environment for enacting the law, given that Iraq is bound by international agreements and made commitments after 2003, part of which is the right to obtain information.”
He added, “The institute worked with civil society organizations and relevant committees and held many workshops in order to regulate the law,” pointing out that “the law is considered basic and represents one of the most important laws stipulated in the constitution in the field of rights.”
