During a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed issues related to the supply of natural gas to Armenia. The press service of the RA government informs about it.
To remind, on March 31, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan on behalf of the government addressed the chairman of the board of Gazprom JSC Alexey Miller with a letter to start new negotiations regarding the change in the price of gas supplied to Armenia.
And on April 2, the Public Services Regulatory Commission received the request of “Gazprom Armenia” CJSC to review the tariffs of natural gas sold to consumers.
According to the procedure for setting and revising tariffs in the field of energy of the RA, after receiving the application, the PSC examines it within 80 working days.
According to the press service of the government, today Pashinyan and Putin also exchanged information about the steps taken in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. It was noted that the situation in both countries is completely under control.
Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked the Russian side for the steps taken to ensure the smooth implementation of cargo transportation from Armenia to Russia and for effective cooperation with Rospotrebnadzor.
The parties supported the idea of convening an extraordinary session of the Eurasian Supreme Council through video conference. The interlocutors emphasized the implementation of permanent contacts both in the bilateral format and within the EAEU framework.
