The concept for Paso Picture Show arose from the founders’ observation that the beauty of local wineries is often unseen after sunset. According to one of the creators, “Our local wineries are stunning, but most close before the magic of nighttime sets in.” Bradley and Wilder Simmons, after two decades working in film and television in Hollywood, relocated to the Central coast and sought to extend the enjoyment of Paso Robles’ renowned wineries into the evening hours.
Their venture, Wildley Creative, is focused on bringing outdoor screenings to wineries throughout the region. “There’s something special about sitting under the stars, surrounded by vineyards, watching a classic film the way it was meant to be seen, on a big screen with a community of movie lovers,” explained another founder.
‘Tombstone‘ Kicks Off the Series
The inaugural screening will feature the 1993 Western classic, Tombstone, starring Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.,with the film begining at 7:45 p.m.
