A passenger plane carrying 62 people crashed⁤ in the ‍southern Brazilian state of Sao Paulo on Friday, with ⁢tragically no ​survivors, according to reports from the Associated Press and Reuters. Local authorities confirmed the tragedy.

The aircraft, an​ ATR-72 with a capacity for 68 people, crashed in a residential area of the town of Vinhedo. A video circulating on social media captured the moment of impact, followed by a thick cloud​ of black smoke rising from the crash site.

The flight was​ a domestic route from Cascavel in the state of Paraná to ⁣Guarulhos in Sao Paulo. The ​plane was owned by the Brazilian airline VoePass.
