Patrice Aminati Continues Battle with Stage 4 Melanoma, Finds Strength in Family and Fashion

Despite a recent health setback, Patrice Aminati, 30, is maintaining a hopeful outlook as she continues her fight against advanced melanoma, a form of skin cancer. The diagnosis came just months after the birth of her daughter with television presenter Daniel Aminati, 51, in August 2022.

Aminati initially hoped to be free of metastases by the summer of 2024, but unfortunately, the cancer has returned and is now considered incurable. In May, she shared with the public that she is receiving palliative care, focusing on managing symptoms and maintaining her quality of life through ongoing medication and treatments.

A recent update revealed Aminati underwent a “short-term, necessary” liver puncture to investigate potential disease progression. The procedure involves extracting a small tissue sample from the liver to detect or rule out tumors or metastases. The specific reason for the intervention has not been disclosed.

Despite the devastating prognosis, Aminati remains resolute. “Hopefully now there will be better days. With new strength, new hope, new therapeutic approaches. (…) It goes on, always … and I’m grateful for that,” she stated, emphasizing her commitment to positivity and inspiring others facing similar challenges.

Beyond her health journey, Aminati is channeling her energy into her fashion brand, “Aminati,” launched in 2023, as a welcome distraction.

Husband Daniel Aminati Turns to Music Amidst Wife’s Illness

Television presenter Daniel Aminati is finding solace in music during this difficult time. The former lead singer of the German boy band “Bed & Breakfast” has been writing songs to process his emotions and support his wife. He released “Stand up” in February and dedicated the love song “Completiz” to Patrice on their wedding day, April 25th, performing it live on the show “Again and again on Sundays” with Patrice accompanying him on the piano.

The couple married in the spring of 2022, and Patrice received her initial diagnosis of black skin cancer in the spring of 2023, undergoing multiple surgeries and therapies. While doctors initially believed they had successfully treated the cancer, metastases were discovered in her lungs in early 2024, leading to her current palliative care regimen.
