Despite a clear domination for most of the game, LOSC could not do better than a draw against Stade de Reims.
The Lille coach, Paulo Fonseca, did not appreciate the fact of not pocketing the three points during this meeting: “We lost a great opportunity to win the game. I think we deserved to win, not because we did everything well, but we deserved to win, we created a lot of chances. In the second half, Reims scored on their first chance. We did not manage to score the second goal and after that we expose ourselves to that. We are disappointed and frustrated. Everyone in the locker room understood that we had to be more efficient.»
The Portuguese coach also complained about the supporters present in the stands on Monday, who did not support his players enough, according to him: “I am very disappointed with our supporters as well. They have always supported us until then but today they did the opposite when the team needed them. That’s a shame. The players play as I ask them, if there is a culprit it is me, not the players. They have to protest against me, not against the players.»
