A wave of significant partnerships and digital advancements are reshaping the landscape of professional sports, from darts to cricket and adaptive sports. Recent agreements signal a commitment to innovation, expanded global reach, and enhanced fan engagement.
The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and Winmau have solidified their relationship with a record-breaking partnership extension. The renewed agreement ensures Winmau will continue as the organization’s official equipment provider, building on a successful collaboration that began in 2022. This deal represents the largest of its kind in the darts equipment supply sector, underscoring Winmau’s prominence in the sport.
Under the terms of the extension, Winmau dartboards will be used exclusively at all televised PDC events across 17 countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and New Zealand. Coinciding with the extension, Winmau has launched the Blade X dartboard, which will debut at the Winmau World Masters this week. The Blade X features a redesigned wiring system and a new ‘ProCore’ sisal density construction, designed to minimize bounce-outs and elevate the playing experience. Winmau will also continue as the title sponsor of the Challenge Tour, Development Tour, and World Youth Championship.
“Winmau have been a fantastic partner of the PDC over the last four years, and this record-breaking extension reflects our shared ambition for the future of the sport,” stated a senior PDC official. “Their commitment to innovation, quality and performance is unmatched, and the launch of the Blade X sets a new benchmark for darts equipment at the very highest level.”
