Table of Contents
The Faculty of Physical Education of the National University of Tucumán (FACDEF–UNT) is now accepting pre-registrations for its Teaching in Physical Education program, beginning with the 2026 academic year. Prospective students eager to pursue a career in physical education have a defined window to initiate their application process, with a comprehensive set of requirements outlined by the university.
Application Timeline and Process
The online pre-registration period, conducted through the SIU Guaraní 3 system, will run from Monday, October 13, 2025, to Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Following the online submission, applicants are required to present original administrative documentation in person between February 4 and February 11, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Student Office.
Required Documentation
Applicants must compile a detailed set of documents for submission. These include:
- Original proof of secondary education completion.
- A photocopy of their national identification document (DNI).
- A legalized birth certificate.
- 3×4 photographs.
- Proof of payment for the institutional contribution fee.
- A complete medical record, including a fitness assessment and all health studies detailed in the official admission booklet.
According to university instructions, all documentation must be organized within a yellow manila folder, with medical history and administrative documents separated into distinct sections.
Comprehensive Introductory Modules
The admission process isn’t solely based on academic records; it incorporates two mandatory modules designed to assess a candidate’s aptitude and preparedness. The first, the Physical-Motive Module, is an 80-hour intensive program encompassing sports practices, physical evaluations, strength and endurance testing, assessments of motor skills, and swimming proficiency.
The second module, Communication and Study Techniques, spans 40 hours and focuses on bolstering students’ abilities in understanding, producing, and analyzing texts relevant to physical education pedagogy. Both modules are delivered in a face-to-face format with mandatory attendance, and successful completion requires achieving minimum qualifying scores in all evaluation components.
Informative Session for Prospective Students
To assist potential applicants, FACDEF–UNT will host an informative session on December 10 at 7 p.m. at its headquarters, located at Av. Benjamin Aráoz 751. A university representative stated that the session will cover the application requirements, the structure of the Introductory Cycle, and a general overview of the degree program.
