Young people are also making their voices heard against the pension reform. On the occasion of the new national day of mobilization this Thursday, several secondary schools are blocked, in Paris and throughout the territory.

According to union sources, a dozen high schools are totally or partially blocked this Thursday morning in the capital and there are between thirty and forty in Île-de-France. Even establishments that are usually little mobilized organized blockades before the demonstration against the pension reform, scheduled for 2 p.m. in Paris. Thus, around 250 high school students, supervised by around fifteen police officers, gathered in front of the doors of the Jacques-Decours high school in the 9th arrondissement of the capital. Ditto at the Rodin high school in the 13th arrondissement.

“It is an establishment that had not been mobilized for 4 years. We don’t even need to make calls anymore, the high school students organize themselves, ”said Ephram Strzalka-Beloeil of the La Voix lycéenne union. Even the prestigious Lycée Louis-Le-Grand (6th arrondissement) experienced a blockage of its gates this Thursday morning, a few days after the Lycée Henri IV last week, the day after the use of article 49.3 by the government to The national assembly.

La Voix lycéenne also has nearly 400 demonstrations across the country. For its part, the Ministry of National Education has identified “78 incidents” across France, according to the first feedback it received. This count shows 27 blockages, 37 filter blockages, 9 blocking attempts and 4 other forms of disruption – gatherings and a localized power outage at an establishment.

Several universities blocked

Regarding the universities, those of Assas, Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, Paris 8 Vincennes and Nanterre are blocked, according to Unef. An attempt was also underway this Thursday morning at Paris Dauphine University.
