BNP standing committee member said that people want to know the truth behind the killing of Pilkhana. Abdul Moin Khan.

He said this after BNP paid tribute to the martyrs on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Pilkhana tragedy at Banani military cemetery on Sunday (February 25).

This leader of BNP said, I say in one word, it is not reasonable to interfere in the judiciary. I hope our judges will stand firm in their principles and resolve this issue with justice very quickly after 15 years.

Dr. Abdul Moin Khan said, the blood of the people of Bangladesh is still bleeding from the wounds that happened in BDR 15 years ago. We still do not know the history behind this incident. We carry that grief.

He said that even in the Second World War there was no such incident where 57 officers died at the same time. Today, the people of Bangladesh want to know the truth about how this incident happened, what was behind this incident.

This leader of BNP said, there is a saying in Bengali language – ‘The word of justice cries in silence’. We hear that case is still pending. Why is it hanging? Those who have been detained have been imprisoned without trial to this day. We do not know when in the history of a nation such a tragic event has happened.

Dr. Abdul Moin Khan also said that every citizen of Bangladesh should get justice through good governance and law We have no say in whether the criminal will be punished.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister and Awami League presidium member Colonel Kharuk Khan commented that Khaleda Zia’s car was suspicious on the day of the Pilkhana incident. BNP standing committee member Dr. Abdul Moin Khan said, I don’t want to say anything personally.

On February 25 and 26, 2009, 74 people, including 57 army officers, were killed in Pilkhana, the then BDR, now BGB headquarters. A case of murder and an explosive case was registered in that incident. In the case, 152 people were sentenced to death, 160 people were sentenced to life imprisonment, 256 people were sentenced to various terms. Among them, 139 death sentences and 146 life sentences were upheld by the High Court.
