The duo overcame Hungary’s Chiara Honti-Majoros & Stefania Kun in a thrilling 2-1 match (25-23, 14-21, 15-13), demonstrating resilience and teamwork throughout the Beach Pro Tour tournament.

The tournament proved exceptionally competitive, with several teams emerging from the qualifying rounds. Despite never having played together before, and with one player acknowledging she is not a traditional defender, Marcela and Maria Clara showcased remarkable cohesion. “It’s incredible! We’ve worked so far for this!” a jubilant team member told FIVB.com immediately following the win. “We stuck through it and stayed positive.”
This bronze medal represents a breakthrough moment for 20-year-old Maria Clara, her first podium finish at the world level. Her partner, 18-year-old Marcela, already has experience on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour podium, having secured a bronze medal at the 2024 Pingtan Futures event.
