Permitted for publication: The IDF intercepted two Iranian UAVs en route to the Gaza Strip

The IDF Spokesman this evening (Sunday) allowed the publication that Israel intercepted two Iranian UAVs that were on their way to the Gaza Strip with a payload of pistols.

It is estimated that this was an attempt by Iran to examine whether it was possible to “open an axis” of supplying weapons to Gaza using unmanned vehicles.

The incident took place in March 2021, during which the IDF intercepted two UAVs on their way from Iran to the territory of the State of Israel using “mighty” fighter jets.

UAV interceptions were carried out in the region’s skies in coordination with neighboring countries, thus preventing intrusion into Israel. The UAVs monitored the control and detection systems throughout their flight.
