Persib Bandung Triumphs 4-1 Over PSBS Biak in Liga 1 Opener
Bandung, Indonesia – August 10, 2024 – Persib Bandung secured a convincing 4-1 victory over PSBS Biak in the opening match of the 2024/25 Indonesian League 1 on Friday night.
Persib coach Bojan Hodak highlighted the impact of strategic player substitutions as the key factor in the win. “We made some changes in the second half and that made a difference,” he stated.
The match started with Persib taking the lead through David Da Silva in the first half. PSBS Biak responded in the second half with a goal from Alexsandro Santos Perreira. However, Persib regained control and secured victory with goals from Beckham Putra Nugraha, Ciro Alves, and Da Silva’s second.
Despite the defeat, PSBS Biak coach Bojan acknowledged the strong performance of his opponents. “It will be a tough match because Biak plays well and has good players,” he said.
This victory places Persib Bandung at the top of the temporary Liga 1 Indonesia 2024/25 standings with three points. PSBS Biak remains in the bottom position without any points.
