“The higher the ‘peripheral lung SUVmax’ level before treatment, the higher the likelihood of developing immune-related pneumonia or severe adverse reactions,” researchers found. This finding is particularly significant because PET-CT scans are already a routine part of the lung cancer diagnostic process, meaning no additional testing is required to assess this risk.
