According to the project of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center (ACC) named after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan, a photo exhibition “The sun rises again in Karabakh” was held at the Abdulla Kadiri Memorial Museum in Tashkent, the ACC press service reported to Day.Az.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev, diplomats from the embassies of Azerbaijan and Turkey, cultural, scientific and artistic figures of Uzbekistan, scientists, university faculty and students.

Director of the ACC Samir Abbasov spoke about the glorious Victory of Azerbaijan in the 44-day Patriotic War, won thanks to the successful policy of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the valor of the Azerbaijani soldiers. It was noted that the ACC organizes media tours for media representatives of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan and its liberated regions, and over the past years, journalists from the fraternal country have prepared many television and radio programs, articles for newspapers and websites.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev spoke about the historical friendly ties between our countries and emphasized that cooperation between the countries is developing along an ascending line. The Ambassador also spoke about Armenia’s policy of aggression against our people and about the massacres committed by Armenian Dashnaks both in the Caucasus and Central Asia.

The exhibition “The Sun Rises Again in Karabakh” presented the works of the famous photographer of Uzbekistan Khusniddin Atoev, who participated in the media tour. Traveling through the territories liberated from occupation, he took unique photographs.

The author shared his impressions, noting that he was amazed and shocked when he visited the regions of Azerbaijan liberated from the Armenian occupation. Atoev, who visited the Agdam, Fizuli and Shusha regions, emphasized that the destruction in these areas is as if a powerful earthquake had occurred there; the cities and villages created by the Azerbaijani people over thousands of years have been destroyed. He noted that it is not for nothing that foreign journalists call Agdam “the Hiroshima of Azerbaijan.”

In conclusion, the participants visited a corner dedicated to Karabakh and created in the Turon library by the ACC in 2020, an encyclopedic book “Shusha – the cultural capital of the Turkic world” in 5 languages and a postage stamp made in Uzbekistan were donated.
