The Vice Minister of Transportation, Nelson Reyes, reported that the photo ticket system on Monseñor Romero Boulevard could be activated next week, and this will be followed by the highway corridor to Comalapa.
“Pedestrians are always the priority, but there are behaviors that pedestrians must practice to always be visible and travel safely. We approach road safety as a complete cycle: infrastructure, education and attention to victims of traffic accidents,” said Reyes.
In addition, the vice minister explained that there are specific controls on motorcycle drivers, to verify that they circulate with their driver’s license, since on repeated occasions, inexperience and lack of knowledge of traffic regulations are the combination that influences road accidents. .
“We call them road accidents because they are subject to human behavior, even though no one leaves their home with the intention of causing a traffic incident, and that is why we include aftercare for injured people such as physical and psychological therapy, and even a job bank so that they can reintegrate into work activity,” said the official.
