Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department has just announced the decision to sanction tax administrative violations against Phuong Nam Education Development and Investment Joint Stock Company (SED) with a total amount of nearly 1.9 billion VND.

The reason is that SED has made an incorrect declaration of tax basis, leading to a lack of value-added tax (VAT) and corporate income tax (CIT) payable in 2022.

Therefore, SED was fined more than 293 million VND. At the same time, SED was forced to overcome the consequences by collecting nearly 1.5 billion VND in arrears and paying nearly 107 million VND in late tax payment interest.

In total, SED was fined and collected nearly 1.9 billion VND. The amount of late tax payment is calculated until the end of November 30, 2023. SED is responsible for calculating and paying the amount of late tax payment from November 30, 2023 to the time of actual payment of the tax arrears and tax. fine to the State budget.

Regarding the business situation, in the third quarter, SED’s publishing revenue increased by 15%, to 440 billion VND; Profit increased by 10%, reaching nearly 16 billion VND.
