Pinterest Appoints Damian Kim to Lead APAC Enterprise Sales Expansion

Pinterest is bolstering its presence in the Asia-Pacific region with the appointment of Damian Kim as Vice President, APAC Enterprise Sales, signaling a strategic push to deepen commercial partnerships and accelerate growth.
Pinterest has tapped a seasoned industry veteran to spearhead its expansion across the dynamic Asia-Pacific market. Kim is slated to join the company at the end of February 2026 and will report directly to Cecile van Steenberge, Vice President, International Enterprise Sales. This move underscores Pinterest’s commitment to the region as a key driver of its international growth strategy.
Strengthening Regional Leadership and Advertiser Relationships
In his new role, Kim will be responsible for leading Pinterest’s APAC Enterprise organization, with a core focus on fortifying regional leadership and cultivating stronger relationships with key advertisers and partners. The company highlighted existing partnerships with prominent brands including Kao and Panasonic in Japan,and Kia and Flight Center in Australia.
Pinterest is also prioritizing the identification of new avenues for brands to engage with consumers earlier in their purchasing journey. According to a company release, this strategic shift aims to capitalize on the platform’s strengths in visual discovery and shopping, which align closely with consumer behavior across the APAC region.

A Proven Track Record in Digital Sales
Kim brings over 20 years of experience in digital, media, and technology sales to Pinterest. Prior to this appointment, he served as Managing Director, Head of Product – APAC at Meta, where he focused on product advancement for the region.His extensive background also includes leadership positions at Meta across Singapore and Southeast Asia, and previous oversight of the Surface business and key OEM partnerships for Microsoft in Asia Pacific.
Throughout his career, Kim has consistently demonstrated an ability to lead cross-functional teams, launch new business initiatives, and drive substantial growth. He is also recognized for his success in building collaborative partnership ecosystems and championing the APAC region as a hub for innovation.
