Google Pixel 10 Series Pricing Leaked: Foldable Model Expected
Google is poised to unveil its next generation of smartphones, the Pixel 10 series, with pricing details now surfacing. A leaked price list suggests Google will maintain current pricing for its core smartphone offerings while introducing premium options with expanded storage capabilities – and a new foldable device – at higher price points.
Pixel 10 Lineup: A Deep Dive into Expected Costs
According to journalist Roland Quandt from the German publication Winfuture, who claims to have obtained the official price list, the base model Pixel 10 will start at €900 for the 128GB version and €1,000 for the 256GB configuration. This indicates Google is prioritizing affordability for its entry-level consumers.
The Pixel 10 Pro will offer a wider range of options, catering to power users. Four versions will be available, with storage ranging from 128GB to 1TB, priced between €1,100 and €1,589 respectively. Stepping up further, the Pixel 10 Pro XL will feature storage options from 256GB to 1TB, carrying a price tag between €1,300 and €1,689.
Google Enters the Fold with Pixel 10 Pro Fold
Perhaps the most anticipated device in the lineup is the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Google’s foray into the rapidly expanding foldable smartphone market. This device will mirror the storage options of the Pixel 10 Pro XL – 256GB and 1TB – and will be priced between €1,900 and €2,289. This positions the Pixel 10 Pro Fold as a direct competitor to established foldable devices from Samsung and other manufacturers.
Shifting Chipset Production to TSMC
Beyond pricing, the Pixel 10 series represents a significant shift in Google’s manufacturing strategy. The smartphones will be powered by the Tensor G5 chipset, designed in-house by Google. Notably, this is the first time Google will rely on TSMC for the chipset’s production, moving away from its previous partnership with Samsung. This change could signal a desire for greater control over the supply chain and potentially improved performance.
Launch Date on the Horizon
Sources indicate that Google is planning an official unveiling of the Pixel 10 series on August 13, with the devices becoming available for purchase a week later. This timeline suggests a late-summer release, positioning Google to capitalize on the back-to-school shopping season and compete with other major smartphone launches.
